About CatSuccess
CatSuccess is an interactive encyclopedia built for one purpose: helping cat owners understand what their cats are actually communicating. Cats speak constantly, through the position of an ear, the flick of a tail, the width of a pupil, or the particular pitch of a meow, but most of that conversation goes unnoticed simply because it was never explained in plain language. We built CatSuccess to close that gap.
Every feature on this site, from the clickable body language diagram to the behavior quizzes and the glossary of feline terms, is designed to turn well-documented patterns in feline behavior into something clear, practical, and genuinely useful for everyday life with a cat. We draw on widely accepted knowledge about how domestic cats communicate and behave, and we present it in a format that invites exploration rather than passive reading. You can hover over a diagram, test your understanding with a quiz, or look up an unfamiliar term, all in a few clicks.
We exist because a confident, well-informed owner usually means a more comfortable cat. Recognizing the difference between a relaxed slow blink and a tense, flattened-ear warning can change how you approach your cat in the moment. Understanding why cats knead, scratch, or occasionally go through a wild burst of nighttime energy can turn confusing behavior into something expected and even endearing. Small shifts in understanding often lead to calmer households and stronger relationships between people and their cats.
CatSuccess is an independent educational resource. We are not a veterinary service, we do not offer diagnoses, and nothing on this site should be used to replace the judgment of a licensed veterinarian. If you are ever concerned about your cat's health, behavior changes, or well-being, please consult a veterinary professional who can evaluate your individual cat directly. Our goal is simply to help you understand typical feline behavior a little better, so that you can be a more informed, observant, and connected companion to the cat in your life.
We built this site to be a resource you can return to again and again, whether you are welcoming your first kitten, living with a cat of many years, or simply curious about the small daily behaviors that make cats so endlessly interesting.
